Satilla REMC Upgrading Account Numbers
In an effort to better serve our Members, the Satilla REMC billing and
payment system has undergone a major upgrade.
You will notice that the last portion of the account number has
changed from two digits to three digits.
Below are some questions and answers that may help you navigate through
this upgrade and change.
When will this change occur?
Saturday, January 28, 2012. The Satilla REMC bill payment system will be unavailable while the conversion occurs.
Why is SATILLA REMC changing the Member Account number?
This change is a result of a computer software upgrade that allows
Satilla REMC to better serve a growing number of customers.
How is my account number changing?
Satilla REMC account numbers now end in a two-digit separator number.
For Members with more than one Satilla account, their first Member
separator ends with -01. Subsequent accounts go up -02, -03, -04, etc.
With the change, each Member will have a three-digit separator number at
the end of their account -001 which may also rise with the number of
accounts -001, -002, -003, etc.
Will anything change when I access the Online Bill Pay services at
www.satillaemc.com.
Enter the new full number shown on your bill and login at www.satillaemc.com. Example, your account number is 123456-01, enter 123456-001 on the login
screen for bill payment.
I am on a pre-authorized payment plan through my bank bill payment
website. Will I need to notify my bank of the new account number?
Yes, if Satilla REMC is paid from your bank bill payment website,
you will need to go into your bank account online profile and change the
payment information for Satilla REMC to include your new account number.
Is there anything else I might need to do?
No, you do not need to do anything about the change.
If you are mailing your payment, be sure to include your bill
stub, no further action is necessary. However, when you pay your bill by other methods, please confirm
that you are paying toward your new account number after January 28th.
Satilla REMC has worked to make the transition to the new account
numbers as seamless as possible.
I make my payments online at the SATILLA REMC website. Will I need to
notify my bank of the new account number?
No. You do not need to do anything. Simply record your new account
number for your records.
I pay my bill by bank draft. Do I need to make any changes?
If you have authorized Satilla REMC to draft your payment from your
checking account, you do not need to take any action.
Where do I find my account number on my bill?
Your account number can be found in the upper left-hand and bottom
right-hand corners of your bill.
