Satilla is partnering with internet service provider Conexon Connect to transform our rural communities by building a fiber-to-the-home network – the gold standard of communications transmission- that will take fiber directly into your homes and businesses and deliver high speed internet services. This service will be made available to every member of Satilla EMC.

Our project will be completed in phases, and will eventually reach 100% of members in Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Pierce, Ware, and Wayne counties The project is expected to be completed in 4-5 years. Conexon Connect will operate the fiber network and deliver broadband service to these members.
Satilla REMC is partnering with Conexon Connect, to design and construct this ambitious project.
Coordination and preparations for the network are already underway. Construction has begun in Appling County. We are hopeful that the first consumers will begin receiving broadband service from our fiber network as early as April of 2022.
A fiber-optic network sends and receives data at the speed of light. You will be able to stream high-definition media smoothly and quickly, have the data capacity to download and upload data at super-fast speeds and run multiple devices without decreased download and upload speeds.
No. Electric rates will not be raised to subsidize the buildout or deployment.
Conexon Connect will offer a package with a minimum of 100 megabits (Mbps) per second upload and download speeds (symmetrical service) for $50 per month. In addition, Connect will offer a package with a maximum of 1,000 Mbps (1 gigabit) per second upload and download speeds for $80 per month.
