Hurricane Idalia Update

Our crews along with partner crews are working long hours to get the lights on! We currently have 333 outages and 4,055 members without power. We are committed to working until every Satilla member has power. We ask for your prayers for our linemen.



Hurricane Idalia Update

We currently have 439 outages and 10,929 members without power. Our linemen have made outstanding progress as they worked through the night. We assure you that we will not stop working until every member has power. We appreciate your patience during this time. Please stay safe and stay away from downed power lines.



Satilla REMC would like to remind dove hunters not to shoot at power and fiber lines.

Power lines are popular roosting spots for doves, making them tempting targets for dove hunters. Shooting doves while perched on power or fiber lines may be an easy shot, but it could damage the lines and lead to costly repairs. Also, shooting at the lines is against the law. We wish all hunters a safe and successful dove season and don’t forget to use caution around power and fiber lines!



SATILLA REMC PREPARES FOR TROPICAL STORM IDALIA

Satilla REMC staff and employees are preparing for Tropical Storm Idalia as it makes its way toward Florida. Although the storm path could change, current models have the storm intensifying to a Hurricane before making landfall in Florida and affecting Southeast Georgia on Wednesday. LOCAL STUDENTS SELECTED FOR PRESTIGIOUS WASHINGTON YOUTH TOUR

Area high-school students Kaitlyn Tanner, AnnaKate Hollingsworth, Maura Kate Waters, and Connor Chapman have been selected to participate in the 2023 Washington Youth Tour sponsored by Satilla REMC and The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The teen-delegates will explore government on a local and national level, gathering in Atlanta before departing for Washington D.C.
