Hurricane Helene Update

We currently have 491 outages remaining, affecting 1,365 members. Our crews are working tirelessly to restore power as quickly as possible. Due to the severe damage on the west side of our service territory, miles of our distribution system are being repaired. We appreciate your patience during this challenging time. Rest assured, our teams are still in the field, and we will continue to work until we have restored power to every meter on our system.

As we enter day ten of our restoration efforts, our dedicated crews along with partner crews continue to work 16-hour days to restore power to our members. We currently have (57%) of our members without power. We are making steady progress as we rebuild sections of our distribution system. We ask for your continued patience and understanding as we work through this historic event. Please know that our crews are committed to restoring power to every member.

Last Friday, we had over 58,000 members without power. That is nearly 100% of all Satilla Members. Thanks to the work of our linemen and the support from neighboring cooperatives, right-of-way crews, and contractors, we have successfully restored power to 39% of our membership. Our crews along with partner crews continue to work 16-18 hour days to restore power to our members! A week ago we had over 58,000 members without power. That is nearly 100% of all Satilla Members. We currently have 41,000 (70%) of our members without power. We are committed to working until everyone of our members power is restored. Please continue to be patient and pray for our linemen. We are currently at 27% of members restored. As of this morning, we have 637 individual outages to address. Each of these represents a unique issue that needs resolving –some of which will take a day and others potentially weeks. Annual Meeting Postponed

Due to the widespread destruction that our area has experienced from Hurricane Helene, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Satilla’s Annual Meeting of Members until further notice.
