Power lines are popular roosting spots for doves, making them tempting targets for dove hunters. Shooting doves while perched on power or fiber lines may be an easy shot, but it could damage the lines and lead to costly repairs. Also, shooting at the lines is against the law. We wish all hunters a safe and successful dove season and don’t forget to use caution around power and fiber lines!

Satilla REMC staff and employees are preparing for Tropical Storm Idalia as it makes its way toward Florida. Although the storm path could change, current models have the storm intensifying to a Hurricane before making landfall in Florida and affecting Southeast Georgia on Wednesday.
